Graphene has a myriad of unprecedented attributes, any number of which could potentially be used to make extraordinary composites. The presence of graphene can enhance the conductivity and strength of bulk materials and helps to create composites with superior qualities. Graphene can also be added to metals, polymers and ceramics to create composites that are conductive and resistant to heat and pressure.
The potential of graphene composites includes medical implants, engineering materials for aerospace and renewables and much more.

Result

  • Adding just 0.15% of graphene additive to epoxy or polyester resin - increases the mechanical performance like strength, hardness, flexibility, impermeability of the composite by 130% and improves antistatic properties.
  • Graphene can be added to thermoplastics, such as Nylon, for injection molding applications as well as thermoset resins such as epoxy, polyurethane and polyester resin for cold casting or vacuum casting.
  • High performance, high aspect ratio, high surface area materials which are suited to enhancing the mechanical and physical properties of polymer and composite materials and applications.
